Before Thinking About Relationships

“Before thinking about relationships, we’re designed to have relational intimacy with God.” – J.S. Park

I don’t have anything against relationships. I think it is a beautiful thing to find someone you can have your journey with God with, to have a best friend you can be your crazy self with and have them still love you the same, and to be with someone you can build God’s kingdom with.

But before entering the dating season in our lives, there are questions I believe we should answer first. Who am I? What is my life all about? What is my purpose? What is my mission? What does God want me to do? I am certain these questions would not be answered when we start dating.

Our answers to these questions will affect how we view dating and relationship.

“We must first know ourselves before we get to know anyone else, and our one irrevocable identity is found in Him.” – J.S Park
